40 Card Deck
This format is especially popular in Italy and Spain, using decks with the suits of Swords, Coins, Cups, and Batons. Popular games include Scopa, Briscola, and Tresette.
78 Card Deck
The standard tarot deck typically contains 4 minor suits similar to the Spanish format, plus 22 major trump cards. While the minor pips and courts are very similar to the 52 card format, they also contain a 4th court card.
52 Card Deck
A popular deck world-wide, the 52 card format is used in many games and is responsible for the ubiquity of French suits like Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs. Most decks include optional Joker cards. Popular games include Crazy 8s, Rummy, & Klondike Solitaire.

Scopa-Deverra
Scopa is a very popular game in Italy. It is simple to learn and difficult to master, but is a favorite all-ages game you can play with your friends and family. Scopa means "to sweep" and Deverra is the ancient Roman goddess of housekeeping. Scopa-Deverra combines traditional card Ranks and the LOGOS DIVINÆ Numen to create new methods for capturing cards, as well as new ways to earn Primero points– a complicated scoring mechanic that is hundreds of years old!
